Study in Canada Scholarships 2025 (SICS) for study or research exchanges at the undergraduate and graduate levels


Summary

The Study in Canada Scholarships (SICS) program is funded by Global Affairs Canada. It enables Canadian post-secondary institutions to host talented international students for short-term study or research exchanges, fostering global academic connections, strengthening bilateral ties, and enhancing cultural exchanges between Canada and participating countries


Benefits

Award value and benefits include:

  • College/Undergraduate: $10,200 (4 months)

  • Graduate (4 months): $10,200

  • Graduate (5-6 months): $12,700

Eligible expenses covered:

  • Visa or study/work permit fees.

  • Airfare (most direct and economical route).

  • Health insurance.

  • Living expenses (accommodation, utilities, food).

  • Ground transportation (public transport pass).

  • Books and supplies (excluding computers)


Eligibilities.

Eligible candidates must:

  • Be citizens of one of the eligible countries/territories (see below).

  • Be enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in their home country.

  • Pay tuition fees to their home institution for the duration of the scholarship program.

Candidates are not eligible if they:

  • Hold or have applied for Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.

  • Are already enrolled in a program at a Canadian institution.

  • Are part of a scholarship program funded by the Government of Canada.
