The GIAF Scholarship program is designed to support children and dependents of Nigerian Army personnel and veterans, providing them with an opportunity to pursue higher education in Nigerian universities. The program was launched to mark the 3rd anniversary of the passing of the late 21st COAS on May 21, 2024. GIAF is committed to improving Nigeria’s future by encouraging youth with great potential to pursue academic excellence, especially as opportunities for the youth become rarer.

Eligibilities

The eligibility criteria include:

• Applicants must be dependants of serving, retired or deceased Nigerian Army Personnel.

• Exceptional academic performance, showcased by outstanding O-level and JAMB results, will be a key selection criterion. Applicants will be considered from all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

• Inclusivity is a core principle, with gender balance as a priority.
